Adriano Rodoni (* 1898 in Milan ; † January 1985 ) was an Italian cycling official and from 1958 to 1981 president of the world cycling association Union Cycliste Internationale .

In 1939 Adriano Rodoni was involved in the organization of the UCI Road World Championships planned in Varese , which, however, did not take place due to the outbreak of World War II . From 1940 on, Adriano Rodoni was first and intermittently President of the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana (FCI), then from 1958 to 1981. He was also Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Italy ( CONI ).

In 1960 Rodoni was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit on the occasion of the cycling world championships in the GDR . The Radsport newspaper was skeptical about this honor, as Rodoni was known to be a supporter of Mussolini . On the occasion of his election as UCI President, a photo was published by Italian newspapers, in which Rodoni could be seen in the black shirt of the Italian fascists .

In 1964 the Italian cyclist Giovanni Pettenella won the gold medal in the sprint at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and the silver medal in the time trial over 1000 meters. After the race, the jury ordered a doping test , but Rodoni prevented it.

The Italian stage race Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda bears the addition of Memorial Adriano Rodoni in his honor .
