Léon Breton (born September 24, 1861 in Cravant , † June 1940 in Castelnau-Rivière-Basse ) was a French cycling official and entrepreneur.

Léon Breton was president of the French cycling federation Union Vélocipédique Française (UVF). He himself belonged to the associations Association Athlétique du Lycée Carnot and Union Sportive Samaritaine . From 1922 to 1936 he held the office of President of the World Cycling Association Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). He was also Vice President of the French National Olympic Committee .

In 1918 Breton was appointed Chevalier and in 1931 an officer of the Legion of Honor and was awarded other medals such as the Royal Order of Cambodia in 1901. He was an orthopedic surgeon and until 1918 ran the company Steenbrugghe & Breton, formerly Drapier et fils , which among others manufactured surgical instruments and prostheses for which it held several patents. The company was based on Rue de Rivoli , where Breton also lived. He himself published several scientific publications on medical topics.
