Adrien Fauchier-Magnan

Adrien Fauchier-Magnan (born November 19, 1873 in Paris , † August 6, 1965 in Cannes ) was a French tennis player , author and art collector .

biography

Fauchier-Magnan took part in the tennis competition at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris . In singles he did not start, while he played in doubles with Étienne Durand . The pairing lost in the opening round to Harold Mahony and Arthur Norris after winning the first set with 8: 6, 1: 6, 3: 6. No more is known about Fauchier-Magnan's tennis career.

During or after sport, the Frenchman was an art dealer, art historian and author. In 1954 he published the novel Goethe et la Cour de Weimar , which achieved a certain degree of popularity.
