Aerocaribbean (Empresa Aerocaribbean SA) was a state-owned Cuba airline based in Havana and based on the Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí . In the second half of 2015 , Aerocaribbean merged with Cubana and was dissolved.

Aerocaribbean was founded in 1982 as Empresa Aero , was state-owned by the Republic of Cuba and began flight operations on December 2nd of the same year. The company had used aircraft of the type DC-3 , An-26 , Il-18 , Ilyushin Il-14 and Bristol Britannia on flights within Cuba and in the Caribbean, for example to Santo Domingo. In the 2000s, ATR-42/72 aircraft, Boeing 737s operated by other companies and Embraer Bandeirante were in use, as well as a Yak-40 and the Ilyushin Il-18 (as a freighter) in Central America or Venezuela.

In the second half of 2015, Aerocaribbean merged with Cubana and was dissolved.
