Agnes Totter

Agnes Totter (born May 27, 1974 in St. Georgen , Romania or May 22, 1974 in Styria ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). She has been a member of the National Council since October 23, 2019 .

Life

After primary and secondary school in St. Georgen, Agnes Totter attended the Jennersdorf upper-level high school , where she graduated in 1993 . She then completed a course of study at the University of Education in Graz , the teaching degree for English, history, social studies at secondary schools and the course for integrative education, she graduated in 1996 with a diploma. Then she worked at the WIKI kindergarten of the Styrian children's rescue organization in Zerlach . In 2000 she worked for the Sale - Project Management & Consulting association to advise and support jobless teachers and academics , initially as a project assistant and learning supervisor, from 2008 as a board member.

In 2002 she began studying law at the University of Graz , which she completed in 2007 as Mag. Iur. completed. She completed a teaching degree for history and geography at the University of Graz from 2009 as Mag. Phil. from. 2017 doctorate it to the doctor's rights . From 2002 to 2006 she taught at the adult education centers in Graz and Feldbach . From 2007 to 2014 she was employed as a contract teacher at the State School Council for Styria, and since 2014 she has been the director of the New Middle School (NMS) Sankt Stefan im Rosental .

Totter is the managing chairwoman of the Styrian Teachers 'Union , member of the board of the Styrian workers' union and member of the regional board of the Austrian women's movement . In the 2019 National Council election, she ran for the ÖVP behind top candidate Christoph Stark as second in the list in the regional constituency of East Styria and fifth on the state list . On October 23, 2019 she was at the beginning of the XXVII. Legislative period as a member of the Austrian National Council .
