Agustín Romualdo Álvarez Rodríguez OFMCap (born February 11, 1923 in Renedo de Valdetuéjar , Spain ; † August 11, 2011 ) was a Spanish religious and apostolic vicar of Machiques in Venezuela .

Life

Agustín Romualdo Álvarez Rodríguez joined the religious order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on March 12, 1949 .

On March 10, 1986, John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Nasbinca and appointed him Vicar Apostolic of Machiques . The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Venezuela , Luciano Storero , donated him the episcopal ordination on August 10, 1986 ; Co-consecrators were Felipe González González OFMCap, Vicar Apostolic of Tucupita , and Mariano Gutiérrez Salazar OFMCap, Vicar Apostolic of Caroní .

On October 7, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation.
