Ramiro Díaz Sánchez OMI (born September 14, 1934 in Villaverde de Arcayos , Province of León ) is a Spanish Roman Catholic religious and retired Apostolic Vicar of Machiques .

Life

Ramiro Díaz Sánchez joined the Order of the Oblates (OMI) and was ordained a priest on March 14, 1959 . On January 24, 1997, John Paul II appointed him Vicar Apostolic of Machiques and Titular Bishop of Lari Castellum .

The Archbishop of Merida , Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo , consecrated him on April 26 of the same year as bishop ; Co-consecrators were Felipe González González OFMCap , Vicar Apostolic of Tucupita , and Jesús Alfonso Guerrero Contreras OFMCap, Vicar Apostolic of Caroní .

On April 9, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. the withdrawal request submitted for reasons of age.

With the inauguration of Jesús Alfonso Guerrero Contreras OFMCap as Bishop of Barinas on March 15, 2019, he took over the administration of the diocese of Machiques as Apostolic Administrator for the vacancy that lasted until the inauguration of the new Bishop on December 14 of the same year .
