Jesús Alfonso Guerrero Contreras OFMCap (born January 23, 1951 in La Pedregoza ) is a Colombian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Barinas .

Life

Jesús Alfonso Guerrero Contreras entered the religious order of the Capuchin one, put the eternal profession on 15 August 1977, received on 10 December 1977, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 6 December 1995 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Leptiminus and Vicar Apostolic of Caroní . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Machiques on April 9, 2011 . On December 21, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Barinas. The inauguration took place on March 15 of the following year.
