Ramón Ovidio Pérez Morales (born June 26, 1932 in Pregonero , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Los Teques .

Life

Ramón Ovidio Pérez Morales was ordained a priest on October 26, 1958 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on December 2, 1970 titular bishop of Aquae Albae in Byzacena and auxiliary bishop in Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela . He was ordained episcopal on March 19, 1971, by the Archbishop of Caracas, Cardinal José Humberto Quintero Parra ; Co-consecrators were Antonio del Giudice , Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela , and Eduardo Francisco Pironio , Auxiliary Bishop in La Plata .

On May 20, 1980, John Paul II called him Bishop of Coro and on December 23, 1992, Archbishop of Maracaibo . On June 5, 1999, he was appointed Archbishop ad personam of Los Teques . He resigned from his office on December 30, 2004.
