Antonio del Giudice

Antonio del Giudice (born April 16, 1913 in Casoria , Province of Naples , Italy , † August 20, 1982 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Antonio del Giudice received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Andria on February 22, 1936 .

On April 18, 1962, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Hierapolis in Syria and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Korea . Cardinal Secretary of State Amleto Giovanni Cicognani , ordained him episcopal on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Naples , Paolo Savino , and the bishop of Telese o Cerreto Sannita , Felice Leonardo . On December 31, 1963 Antonio del Giudice was Internuntius and on September 5, 1966, finally, Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Korea. Pope Paul VI appointed him on August 19, 1967 as Apostolic Nuncio in the Dominican Republic . On December 2, 1970 Antonio del Giudice became Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela . Paul VI appointed him on December 18, 1974 as Apostolic Nuncio in Malta . On December 22nd, 1978 Pope John Paul II appointed him Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Kuwait and Iraq .

Antonio del Giudice attended the first, second and third sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
