Paolo Savino

Paolo Savino (born March 29, 1894 in Naples , Italy ; † October 27, 1980 ) was auxiliary bishop in Naples .

Life

Paolo Savino received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Naples on August 14, 1921 . In 1941 Pope Pius XII appointed him . as President of the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy in Rome .

On April 27, 1959, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Caesarea in Thessalia and it ordered auxiliary bishop in Naples. The secretary of the Consistorial Congregation , Cardinal Marcello Mimmi , donated him episcopal ordination on June 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the substitute in the Vatican State Secretariat , Archbishop Angelo Dell'Acqua , and the Archbishop of Sorrento , Carlo Serena .

In 1967 Savino resigned as auxiliary bishop in Naples.

Paolo Savino participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
