Giacomo Testa

Giacomo Testa (born April 3, 1909 in Cenate Sotto , Bergamo province , Italy ; † September 29, 1962 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Giacomo Testa received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Bergamo on December 6, 1931 .

On June 18, 1953, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular archbishop of Heraclea in Europe , and it ordered the apostolic delegate in Turkey . The Patriarch of Venice , Cardinal Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli , ordained him episcopal on August 26th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Switzerland , Archbishop Gustavo Testa , and the Bishop of Faenza , Giuseppe Battaglia .

In 1959 Giacomo Testa became president of the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy in Rome .
