Ahmet Dursun (born January 25, 1978 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a former German - Turkish soccer player . His most successful period was during his first job at Beşiktaş Istanbul .
Career
society
Dursun began his career in Germany at SG Wattenscheid 09 and played four games in the second Bundesliga . For the 1996/97 season he moved to Kocaelispor in İzmit (Turkey) . For the 1999/00 season he moved to Beşiktaş Istanbul and scored 21 goals in the first season. After that he was less successful and moved to Tianjin Teda in January 2004 in the People's Republic of China . For the 2004/05 season he moved back to Turkey, this time to İstanbulspor AŞ . He then moved back to Beşiktaş Istanbul during the winter break. For the 2006/07 season he moved to Etimesgut Şekerspor . During the winter break he moved to Antalyaspor . For the 2007/08 season he moved to MKE Ankaragücü , and again to Kocaelispor a year later. From 2009 to April 2010 Dursun played for the Azerbaijani club FK Xəzər Lənkəran in the Premyer Liqası .
For the 2010/2011 season he moved to the Turkish second division club Adanaspor . In January 2011, however, he left Adanaspor again to join Eyüpspor . He played here for a year and announced the end of his active professional football career in January 2012.
National team
Dursun started playing for the Turkish national team early on. He went through most of the Turkish youth national teams and made his debut in the jersey of the Turkish national team on February 23, 2000 in a friendly against Norway . Overall, he completed three full international matches for Turkey.
With the Turkish U-21 national team , he took part for the first time in the association's history in a U-21 European football championship , the U-21 European Championship 2000 . Here he was eliminated with his team in the group stage.
