Location of Ahornöd in Bavaria

Ahornöd is a village and part of the city of Freyung in the Freyung-Grafenau district in Bavaria .

The Reschbach flows to the west of the village and the Saußbach to the south . The B 533 runs on the northern and eastern outskirts and the B 12 on the southern outskirts .

history

Ahornöd was incorporated into the new district town of Freyung on April 1, 1954 .

Attractions

In 1999 a 30 m wide cable-stayed bridge made of wood was built as an overpass over the B 533 so that the soldiers of the barracks in Freyung no longer have to cross the B 533 on their way to the military training area.
