The Ahrnsbrak Glacier is a glacier in the Enterprise Hills in West Antarctica . It flows in an easterly, then northeastern direction between the mountains of Sutton Peak and Shoemaker Peak until it finally meets the ice at the end of the larger Union Glacier together with the more northerly Henderson Glacier .
The glacier was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the Enterprise Hills survey between 1961 and 1966 through field surveys and aerial photography by the United States Navy . It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after the American glaciologist William Frederick Ahrnsbrak (* 1942) from Ohio State University , who worked at Palmer Station in 1965 as a participant in the United States Antarctic Research Program .
