Soldiers of an Air Mobile Protection Team ( AMPT ) are specialized forces for object protection in the German Air Force . Organizationally, the AMPTs are part of the Air Force Object Protection Regiment ("Friesland") from Schortens .

assignment

AMPTs protect aircraft, crew and cargo from hostile threats during the transport of people, materials or wounded in crisis countries with an unstable security situation. In addition, it is responsible for the safety of passengers on board and for VIPs (such as the Federal President or Foreign Minister on trips abroad).
