The Aire coutumière Djubéa-Kaponé (in the native language: Drubea-Kaponë ) is an administrative unit of a special form ( Aire coutumière ) in the French overseas department of New Caledonia . It was founded on March 19, 1999 and comprises six municipalities on the southeast side of the island of Grande-Terre and on the Île des Pins . 21 Kanak tribes are registered in Djubéa-Kaponé .
