Airness is a sporting goods and shoe manufacturer founded in 1999 by the French - Malian boxer Malamine Koné in Saint-Denis .

The trademark is a black panther. Koné, who comes from Mali , made a name for himself as a boxer and was nicknamed la Panthère . He took part in the 1996 Olympic Games and was the standard bearer.
