Akeem Elijah Adams (born April 13, 1991 in Point Fortin , † December 30, 2013 in Budapest ) was a football player from Trinidad and Tobago .
Life
Career
Adams played in his home country at senior level between 2008 and 2013 for Central FC, T & TEC SC , United Petrotrin and W Connection in the TT Pro League , the top division of Trinidad and Tobago. In the summer of 2013 he moved to Hungary in the Nemzeti Bajnokság to Ferencváros Budapest , for which he played in seven league games.
Adams went through all the junior national teams of Trinidad and Tobago. In 2007 he took part in the U-17 World Cup in South Korea and in 2009 in the U-20 World Cup in Egypt. The then 16-year-old played his first of a total of nine international matches in March 2008.
death
On September 25, 2013, Adams suffered a heart attack after a training session . He then had to undergo three operations. The left leg of the nine-time national player had to be amputated. From then on, Adams waited for a donor heart. On December 28, 2013, Adams suffered a stroke and fell into a coma. On December 30, 2013, he died in the Városmajori Heart Clinic in Budapest.
