al-Hurriyya ( Arabic الحرية, DMG al-Ḥurriyya , often also Al Horiya ) is a Syrian football club from the city of Aleppo . The club currently plays in the first Syrian league

al-Hurriyya was founded in 1952 under the name Al Arabi Sport Club . On August 10, 1972, the club was renamed al-Hurriyya ( Al Horiya Sport Club ).

The home games are played in the al-Hamdaniyya Stadium, which has almost 40,000 seats. Every now and then the club plays in the new Aleppo international stadium (capacity: approx. 75,000 seats). This stadium was opened on April 3, 2007 in a friendly match between al-Ittihad and Fenerbahçe Istanbul .

The club colors are green and white.
