The Alabel Pass ( Kyrgyz Ала-Бел ашуусу ) is an important mountain pass in Central Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).
The M41 trunk road , an important road connection between the two largest cities of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek and Osh , runs over the 3184 m high Alabel Pass . The Suusamyrtoos mountain range extends south of the mountain pass , while the Talas-Alatau rises to the north . To the west of the Alabel pass, the Tschytschkan river valley leads south to the Toktogul reservoir . To the east, the road leads down into the Suusamyr valley , where after 18 km the road branches off to the left over the Ötmök pass to Talas .
