Alain Rohr

Alain Rohr (born December 25, 1971 in Bern ) is a former Swiss sprinter and hurdler . He holds the Swiss record over 400 meters indoors with 45.92 s, run on February 13, 2000 in Magglingen.

In the 4-by-400-meter relay he was eliminated from the 1995 World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg and reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Atlanta .

At the European Championships in Budapest in 1998, he came fifth with the Swiss quartet. At the 1999 World Championships in Seville, the Swiss 4 x 400 meter relay with Laurent Clerc , Mathias Rusterholz , Rohr and Marcel Schelbert set the current Swiss record with 3: 02.46 minutes in advance, but still missed it Entry into the final.

In 2000, Rohr finished fifth over 400 meters at the European Indoor Championships in Ghent . At the Olympic Games in Sydney he did not get past the lead with the Swiss relay.
