Alard von Arnim

Alard von Arnim (born September 19, 1943 in Groß Fredenwalde , † October 2, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1999 to 2009 he was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament .

Life and work

Alard von Arnim was a trained bank clerk. After the fall of the Wall he came back to his place of birth from the Emsland and works as a farmer on the old family estate.

He was married and a Protestant. He made it possible for the church of Groß Fredenwalde to obtain a permanent loan of the baptismal angel under which he was baptized himself.

From 1962 to 2014 Arnim was a member of the CDU. He was an assessor in the district committee of the CDU district association Uckermark .

From 1998 to 2014 he was a member of the Gerswalde municipal council and the Uckermark district council . He worked as a member of the finance and auditing committee in the Uckermark district council. He was state chairman of the Brandenburg Seniors' Union.

Arnim was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament from September 1999 to September 2009. In the 2004 state elections, he won 18.7% (first votes) and 19.4% (second votes) in constituency  11 - Uckermark I against the applicants from the PDS and SPD push through. In 2009 he received 18.0% of the first votes as a direct candidate and lost his mandate in the state parliament. In 1999 and 2004 Arnim entered parliament via the CDU Brandenburg state list .

Arnim was a full member of the Audit Committee, the Judge Election Committee and the Legal Committee. He was a deputy member of the Agriculture Committee, the Finance Committee and the Petitions Committee.
