Alban Bekim Hoxha (born November 23, 1987 in Cërrik ) is an Albanian football player . He plays in the position of goalkeeper .
Career
In the club
On July 1, 2014, he moved from the U-17 of KS Dinamo Tirana to the professional field. From July 2005 to July 2006 he was loaned to KF Turbina Cërrik. After the loan, he returned to Dinamo Tirana. From 2008 to 2009 he was loaned to KF Apolonia Fier . Until 2011 he played again at Dinamo Tirana. In December 2011 he went to KS Kastrioti Kruja . He was active there until July 2012. Then he went to KS Besa Kavaja . After one season he moved to FK Partizani Tirana .
In the national team
In qualifying for the Euro 2016 , he sat on the bench as a substitute goalkeeper in seven games. He made his first international match on November 16, 2015 after Albania had qualified for the first time for the European Championship finals and thus for the first time ever for a major soccer tournament. He came on as a substitute for goalkeeper Etrit Berisha in the 75th minute of the friendly against Georgia at the Qemal Stafa Stadium in Tirana . When the provisional squad was named on May 21, 2016, he was one of the 27 players nominated and was also included as the second substitute goalkeeper in the final squad , but was not used.
