Albano Pera (born February 13, 1950 in Capannori ) is a former Italian sports shooter .

successes

Albano Pera took part in the Olympic Games twice. In 1988 he took tenth place in the trap in Seoul . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta he started in double trap and reached the final in fifth place with 139 points. With 44 more points, he scored 183 points, as did Zhang Bing and Park Chul-sung , so that there was a jump-off for the silver and bronze medals. Only Russell Mark had scored more points with 189 hits. In the jump-off, Park was the first to miss a target, so that Pera and Zhang were confirmed prematurely as medal winners. Zhang finally missed the seventh goal, unlike Pera, with which Pera won the silver medal.

1986 Pera won his first medal at world championships with silver in the Trap team competition in Suhl . Three years later he was world champion in the team competition in the trap and in the double trap in Montecatini Terme , while he reached third place in the trap singles. He defended the title with the Trap team in Moscow in 1990 and won bronze with the team in a double trap . In 1993 in Barcelona and in 1994 in Fagnano Olona he also won bronze in the double trap singles, with the team he won gold in 1993 and bronze in 1994. Further title wins with the Doppeltrap team followed in 1995 in Nicosia and 1997 in Lima . In 1988 he was European champion in a trap in Istanbul and in 1993 in a double trap in Brno .
