Alberich Fritz

Alberich Fritz (born August 1, 1704 in Oberhollabrunn , Lower Austria; † April 20, 1787 in Vienna ) was an Austrian Cistercian and 57th abbot of Heiligenkreuz Abbey .

Life

Alberich Fritz made his profession on March 3, 1726 and celebrated his Primary on May 15, 1729 . This was followed by a year in pastoral care in Heiligenkreuz . From 1732 to 1737 he worked as a cellar master , from 1734 to 1735 as director of Donaten Christoph Kircheiss and from 1736 to 1737 as vicar in Gaaden . For the next five years, Father Alberich Kastner was in Niederleis , where he and the administrator, Father Leopold Nicolai, were imprisoned in Prussia in 1742. From 1742 to 1743 Fritz was forest director of the rear forests in Heiligenkreuz and from 1743 to 1745 subprior in the monastery. He was then pastor in Winden from 1725 to 1747 , returned to the monastery as treasurer in 1747 and remained in this office until 1754. In the following years he was administrator and parish administrator in Mönchsdorf and from 1755 to 1756 prior and administrator of the St. Gotthard monastery . On January 13, 1756 he was elected abbot . At the time of his death he was a convent senior, jubilee professor and jubilee priest.
