Albert Abicht

Albert Abicht (born December 9, 1893 in Lemnitz , † January 5, 1973 in Nuremberg ) was a German farmer and politician ( ThLB / DNVP , NSDAP ).

Life and work

After graduating from primary school, Abicht attended the agricultural school in Triptis from 1908 to 1910 and then pursued an agricultural activity. He did military service and took part in the First World War as a soldier from 1914 until his military service injury and discharge from military service in September 1916 . From 1917 he worked as a community cashier in Leubsdorf . He later returned to the profession he had learned and leased a manor in Oberpöllnitz in 1928 . Since 1927 he was chairman of the district chamber of agriculture in Gera and a member of the Thuringian main chamber of agriculture in Weimar . In addition, he held various functions in agricultural associations.

Political party

Abicht joined the Thuringian Federation in the 1920s . He had been a member of the inner committee since December 1931 and was elected first chairman of the party on December 16, 1932. In 1933 he switched to the NSDAP. He was expelled in May 1941, which was repealed in August 1942.

MP

Abicht had been a member of the Gera district council since 1924 . In the Reichstag election in July 1932 he was elected for the DNVP in the German Reichstag , of which he was a member until November 1933. In parliament he represented the constituency of Thuringia.

Public offices

Abicht served as mayor of the Leubsdorf community from 1922 to 1928. At the same time he was chairman of the rural community association for the Gera district and member of the board of the Thuringian rural community conference in Weimar.
