Albert Greiner

Albert Greiner (born April 6, 1918 in Strasbourg ; † March 15, 2013 ) was a French theologian , pastor and Luther researcher.

Life

After attending school in Strasbourg, Greiner studied German at the Sorbonne and theology at the Protestant theological faculty in Paris. In 1943/44 he was a German teacher in Lyon . In 1947, he became the pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of France ordained . From 1947 to 1983 he was pastor at various churches in France. The Evangelical Lutheran Theological University in Budapest and the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Munich awarded him an honorary doctorate . He wrote numerous articles for the magazine Positions luthériennes .

He was married and had three children.
