Albert Heilmann

Albert Max Heilmann (born June 6, 1886 in Munich , † December 20, 1949 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf ) was a German building contractor who worked in Munich and Berlin .

Life

Albert Heilmann was born as the fifth of eight children in the second marriage of the architect and building contractor Jakob Heilmann with his second wife Josefine, née Hierl (1860–1926).

From 1909 to 1929 Albert Heilmann managed his father's construction company , Heilmann & Littmann Bau- GmbH, as junior boss . He later took over the chairmanship of the supervisory board of the company, which has now been converted into a stock corporation.

The Europahaus in Berlin, which today houses the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development , was built by him in collaboration with the Berlin real estate entrepreneur Heinrich Mendelssohn .

Albert Heilmann was married to Franziska Anna Marie-Louise "Mary" (1896–1961), daughter of the painter Franz von Stuck from a love affair with Anna Maria Brandmaier (1875–1944). Mary was born in 1904 by her father Franz von Stuck and his wife Anna Maria. Lindpaintner (married March 15, 1897), adopted. The children Hilde (1918–1983), Otto (1919–1971), Albert Franz (1921–1981) and Erich (1923–1945) come from Albert Heilmann's marriage to Mary Stuck.
