Albert J. Radler

Albert J. Rädler (born May 6, 1933 in Munich ; † February 25, 2012 in Vaterstetten ) was a German tax advisor .

Life

After studying business administration in Munich, Albert Josef Rädler did his doctorate with Ottmar Bühler on the subject of direct taxes in the EEC. His dissertation was awarded the Gerhard Thoma Honorary Prize from the Institute of Tax Advisors . Appointed tax advisor in 1962 , he founded the tax law firm Rädler Raupach & Partner with Arndt Raupach in 1971 . He sued for the lifting of the ban on regional partnerships and later joined forces with Linklaters . He was not only active as a tax advisor in the private sector, but also as a political advisor in 1990 for the European Commission on the structuring of corporate taxation in the internal market and for the federal government in 1999 on the reform of corporate taxation . He was also a complainant before the European Court of Justice .

From 1966 to 1982 he was a lecturer at the University of Regensburg . From 1982 until his retirement in 1998 he was professor for international tax law at the University of Hamburg and was also invited as a visiting professor at universities in Tokyo, Paris and Vienna.
