Albert Mülleder

Albert Mülleder (born March 1, 1961 in Linz , Upper Austria ; † August 10, 1999 in Linz) was an Austrian organist and vicariate cantor , as well as the cathedral music director of Wiener Neustadt .

Life

Albert Mülleder was born on March 1st, 1961 as the first of six children of master carpenter Alois Mülleder and his wife Theresia and grew up with his parents in Vorderweißbach in the Mühlviertel . From 1971 to 1979 he attended the humanistic collegiate high school in Wilhering . During this time he received piano lessons, took part in oratorio performances as a boy soprano in the Wilhering Kantorei under Balduin Sulzer and studied organ and piano at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz from 1975 to 1979 .

From 1979 to 1984 Mülleder studied church music at the Vienna University of Music , organ with Peter Planyavsky , choir and choir direction with Hans Gillesberger and Erwin Ortner and piano with Bruno Seidlhofer . In 1980 he began to study singing with Wolfgang Bruneder . From 1983 to 1985 he was the conductor of the Vienna Boys' Choir . In 1984 he became assistant to the cathedral music director in St. Stephen's Cathedral . In 1985 he received the appointment as cathedral music director in the cathedral of Wiener Neustadt and as vicariate cantor of the Archdiocese of Vienna for the vicariate under the Vienna Woods . He died in 1999 after a serious illness.
