Albert Rocas Comas (born June 16, 1982 in Palafrugell , Spain ) is a former Spanish handball player . He is 1.88 m tall and weighs 84 kg.
Rocas, who last played for the Spanish club Naturhouse La Rioja and played for the Spanish national team, was usually used on the right winger.
Albert Rocas started playing handball at school. At the age of 15 he was discovered by BM Granollers and entered the youth boarding school; In 2000 he moved to BM Valladolid . Here he also played his first league games in the Spanish ASOBAL league and won his first title in 2003 with the Copa ASOBAL . In 2003 he went to the top club Portland San Antonio , where he won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2004 , the Spanish championship in 2005 and the Spanish Supercup in 2006. In 2007 he was drawn to FC Barcelona as a true Catalan . With Barcelona he won the championship in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as well as the EHF Champions League in 2011 . In 2013 he signed a contract with the Danish first division club KIF Kolding København . With KIF he won the Danish championship in 2014. From summer 2014 Rocas played for the Spanish first division club Naturhouse La Rioja , where he ended his career in 2018.
Albert Rocas played 178 appearances for the Spanish national team , scoring 589 goals. He won gold at the 2005 World Cup and silver at the 2006 European Championship . At the handball world championship 2007 in Germany he was only in the extended squad of the Spaniards and did not take part in the finals. At the Olympic Games in 2008 he won the bronze medal with the Spanish team and was part of the All-Star team . Rocas also won bronze at the 2011 World Cup . In 2013 he was a member of the Spanish world championship team . He won bronze at the 2014 European Championships in Denmark .
