Albert Scherrer (born February 28, 1908 in Riehen ; † July 5, 1986 in Basel ) was a Swiss automobile racing driver .

Career

Albert Scherrer was a Swiss amateur who mainly drove hill climbs. But he also won national sports car races with a Jaguar XK 120 . He contested his only Grand Prix in Bremgarten in 1953 . Scherrer drove a works HWM , but finished 16 laps behind the winner Alberto Ascari and was not classified.
