Albert von Kersten

Albert von Kersten (born December 31, 1889 in Fiume , † December 18, 1937 in Berlin ; born Albert von Klein ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

The officer's son attended the military academy and was first a cavalryman and then an aviator in the First World War. After the end of the war the Rittmeister was a. D. Actor.

He played at the Theater in der Josefstadt and other Viennese theaters, especially the Kammerspiele , the Schauspielhaus and the Jarno theaters. From the end of the 1920s he performed in Linz and from 1931 also in Berlin.

More important, however, was initially his career as a film actor, where he was used in the roles of heartbreakers , adventurers and officers. He took the title role in the adventure story Serge Panine . Since the late 1920s, however, von Kersten had to be content with less significant tasks.
