Alberto Costa (Bishop)

Alberto Costa (born March 15, 1873 in Santa Croce di Zibello , † August 2, 1950 ) was an Italian clergyman and bishop of Lecce .

Life

He was ordained a priest on September 19, 1896 by Giovanni Battista Tescari , Bishop of Fidenza .

On January 4, 1912, Alberto Costa was appointed Bishop of Melfi and Rapolla . He received his episcopal ordination on April 28, 1912 in the Cathedral of Fidenza by the Bishop of Fidenza Leonida Mapelli ; The co- consecrators were Andrea Righetti , Bishop of Carpi , and Angelo Antonio Fiorini , Bishop of Pontremoli . He became Bishop of Venosa on April 30, 1924 and Bishop of Lecce on December 7, 1928.

Alberto Costa died on August 2, 1950 and was buried in the Cathedral of Lecce .
