Alberto Sy Uy (born October 18, 1966 in Ubay , Bohol ) is a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Tagbilaran .

Life

Alberto Uy received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Talibon on April 14, 1993 .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tagbilaran on October 13, 2016. The Archbishop of Manila , Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle , ordained him episcopal on January 5th of the following year in the Trinity Cathedral in Talibon. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Cebu , Jose Serofia Palma , and the Bishop of Talibon, Daniel Patrick Parcon . The inauguration in the Diocese of Tagbilaran took place the following day.
