Albrecht Christoph Kayser

Albrecht Christoph Kayser (born August 1, 1756 in Regensburg ; † March 24, 1811 in Regensburg) was a librarian at the court of Thurn and Taxis in Regensburg, a writer and historian.

Kayser studied law, philosophy and history at the University of Leipzig from 1776 to 1779 . In 1786 he became librarian to Prince Carl Anselm von Thurn und Taxis . In 1788 he was appointed councilor.

In the library world, Kayser is known as the “father of title recording ”.
