Albrecht "Albi" Husen (born July 31, 1968 in Hanover ) is a German drummer and composer who specializes in jazz-rock .

Live and act

Albrecht Husen studied jazz, rock and pop music at the Hanover University of Music and Drama , a. a. with Herbert Hellhund , and graduated as a qualified music teacher. In 1991 Husen played drums in the Sandra Gantert Quartet . The quartet made some recordings, including a. recorded an NDR concert, and toured Germany. In 1999 Husen participated in the electric jazz project Friedemann Leisinger's Slave of Vision . During the Leverkusen Jazz Days 2006 he took over the drums in the concert müller of the guitarist Lothar Müller, alongside Rainer Piwek ( rhythm guitar and vocals).

In addition to his freelance work as an arranger, composer and producer, Husen also works as a drum teacher. a. at the Music College Hannover.

  • With the pop-jazz sextet Coustics from Hanover, he received the Lower Saxony Jazz Podium Prize in 2001 and 2003.
