Alexander Glebov (also Alek Glebov ; born July 15, 1983 in Maribor , SR Slovenia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Slovene ski racer starting for Russia . He drove the fast downhill and super-G disciplines .

Athletic career

Alek Glebov took part in the Junior World Championships in 2001 and 2002 without achieving outstanding results. On November 27, 2004, he contested his first World Cup downhill run in Lake Louise . So far, Glebov has only made the leap into the World Cup points once in his career, when he finished the Super-G in Val Gardena in 25th place in 2007 . In 2006 Glebov became the Slovenian Super-G champion.

Alexander Glebov started working for the Slovenian association until summer 2009. Then he decided to change his country, on January 11, 2012 he competed in his first ski race as a Russian. In 2012 and 2013 Glebov became Russian champion in both downhill and super-G. In 2013 he also took part in a World Ski Championships for the first time . In Schladming he was 28th in the downhill, in the Super-G he was eliminated.
