Aleksa Despotović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Алекса Деспотовић ; * April 21, 1991 ) is a former Serbian ice hockey player who was twice Serbian runner-up with HK Vitez Belgrade .

Career

Aleksa Despotović began his career as an ice hockey player with HK Beostar in the Serbian capital Belgrade , for whom he played in the Serbian ice hockey league for the first time in 2007 . He later worked there for HK Vitez Belgrade , with whom he became Serbian runner-up in 2012 and 2013. Despite these successes, he moved back to his home club Beostar in 2013, which was returned to the league that year.

International

For Serbia Despotović took part in the Division II competitions of the U-18 World Championships in 2007 and 2009 and Division III in 2008 and the U-20 World Championships in 2008 (in Division III) and 2010 (in Division II). In 2008 he was promoted from Division III to Division II in both age groups.

In the men's area, Despotović made his international debut in September 2012 in qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi in the Serbian selection , for which he was also on the ice at the 2013 World Cup in Division II.
