Aleksandrs Fertovs (born June 16, 1987 in Riga ) is a Latvian football player . The midfielder currently plays for Korona Kielce in Poland, as well as for the Latvian national football team .

Career

Aleksandrs Fertovs started his career in his hometown Riga in the youth department of Skonto Riga, JFC Skonto, which took over the name Olimps Riga in 2005 . At Olimps he played his first season as a professional in the 2008 season after playing only one game with a discount. At the beginning of the 2009 season, Fertovs moved back to Skonto Riga. The tall midfielder is a regular at Skonto. With the Latvian record champions he was able to secure the championship title in 2010 .

For the Latvian football selection Fertovs made his debut in the A-Elf against Honduras in November 2009 when he came on in the 80th minute for Genādijs Soloņicins . That was lost with 1: 2 and was also the record game of Vitālijs Astafjevs as a Latvian national player.
