Alerame Maria Pallavicini (also Alerano Pallavicino or Aleramo Pallavicino ; * October 21, 1803 in Genoa , † October 12, 1867 in San Michele di Pagana , Rapallo ) was auxiliary bishop in Genoa .

Life

He came from the Genoese patrician family of the Pallavicini and was the only son of the Marchese Antonio Pallavicini and his second wife Maria Spinola. At the age of 28 he entered the service of the Curia in 1832, where he became the papal house prelate , trainee lawyer and apostolic protonotary . Pope Gregory XVI gave him various curial offices and duties as apostolic delegate . On September 13, 1838 Pallavicini was appointed papal chamberlain and on January 24, 1842 as prefect of the Apostolic Palace .

The Pope had planned him for a cardinal uprising , but his successor Pius IX. refused to publish this. The reason for this was that Pallavicini had joined the party of the "Genoese" of Cardinal Lambruschini . Pallavicini's duties were temporarily performed by Giovanni Rusconi from July 31, 1847 , the position of majordomo of the papal house was abolished and the prefecture of the Apostolic Palace was established, which was headed by a cardinal ; this was on November 1, 1848 Giacomo Antonelli .

Pallavicini was appointed titular archbishop of Perge on July 7, 1848 , and was appointed auxiliary bishop in Genoa. The episcopal ordination donated him on 10 December of the same year in Savona Archbishop Giovanni Battista De Albertis . Alerame Maria Pallavicini held the office of auxiliary bishop until his death.
