Alessandra Panaro

Alessandra Panaro (born December 14, 1939 in Rome , † May 1, 2019 in Geneva , Switzerland ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Panaro began her film career in 1954 ( Mino Rolis Il barcaiole di Amalfi ) and then shot a considerable number of romantic comedies as a youthful love interest - including Poveri ma belli and Belle ma povere as the greatest successes; her most substantial role was probably in Luchino Visconti's Rocco and his brothers . With the beginning of the heyday of the genre film at the beginning of the 1960s, she also received roles in the currently trendy categories, a few times under the pseudonym Topsy Collins. In 1965 she ended her career in the film industry (with the exception of one film from 1976).

Together with Lorella De Luca , she hosted the TV show Il Musichiere.

She was married to the actor Giancarlo Sbragia, who died in 1994, in their second marriage.
