Alessandro Zondadari
Alessandro Zondadari (born December 25, 1669 in Siena , † January 2, 1745 ibid) was an Italian clergyman and archbishop of Siena .
Life
Born as the son of Ansano Zondadari and his wife Agnese Chigi , he was a maternal great-nephew of Pope Alexander VII and nephew of Cardinal Flavio Chigi seniore . One of his brothers, Antonfelice Zondadari , was cardinal from 1712 ; another brother, Marc'Antonio Zondadari , was Grand Master of the Order of Malta from 1720 to 1722 .
On June 5, 1694, Alessandro Zondadari received the ordination for the Archdiocese of Siena. Pope Clement XI. appointed him on January 21, 1715 Archbishop of Siena. The episcopal ordination took place in February of the same year.
Alessandro Zondadari died on January 2, 1745 after almost 30 years in the episcopate.
