Alex Reichmuth

Alex Reichmuth (born February 2, 1968 in Basel ) is a Swiss journalist .

Life

After graduating from high school , he studied mathematics and physics at the University of Basel . He then completed a postgraduate course in economics. He then taught at various high schools. In 1998 and 1999 he worked as an editor for the Basellandschaftliche Zeitung and from 1999 to 2009 for the Swiss radio DRS . He was responsible for the DRS 1 programs Regional Journal Basel , Espresso , Treffpunkt and Doppelpunkt .

From 2009 to 2010 Reichmuth was the business editor of the Tagesschau on Swiss television . From 2010 he was editor of Weltwoche , and since November 2017 he has been working for the Basler Zeitung .

In the ARD talk show Maischberger on October 11, 2017, he presented himself as a denier of climate change .
