Alex Schwers (born May 23, 1973 in Gladbeck ) is a German musician , concert and festival organizer. He organizes the punk festivals Ruhrpott Rodeo and Punk im Pott and is among other things the drummer for the punk band Slime .

Life

Alex Schwers grew up in Gladbeck. In 1987, when he was 15, he attended his first punk concert in the Carl colliery in Essen . Since 1989 he has been playing in various bands, mainly on drums. His first bands were the punk band Misery LC and the glam rock band Gesa Braaster. From 1991 he played with Hass . He also played and continues to play in the bands Eisenpimmel , Die Mimmis , Rasta Knast , Bone Factory and Chefdenker . From 1998 until the singer's death in 2000, he also played drums for pop singer Ibo . Since their reunion in 2010, Schwers has been the drummer for Slime.

In addition to his activities, Schwers has been organizing the Punk-im-Pott-Festival in the Ruhr area since 1999 and since 2007 with the Ruhrpott Rodeo, which is now the largest German punk festival.

Alex Schwers lives in Gladbeck, is married and has two children.
