Alex Skuby

Alex Christian Skuby (born December 27, 1972 in Neptune , New Jersey ) is an American actor .

Life

He attended Wall High School in Wall, NJ from 1986 to 1990 . After graduating from high school, he decided to take some classes at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft , NJ. To become a full-time student, however, he had to take additional courses. Choosing between marketing and acting, he chose acting. While in college , he became active in the film A Few Good Men, starring Lieutenant Nathan Jessup .

After a year in college , he decided to leave and introduced himself to a couple of theater schools : Syracuse University in New York State and DePaul University in Chicago (better known as the Goodman School of Drama ). Both would have accepted him, but Skuby chose DePaul University . Two years later, however, the school said he was not talented enough and he had to leave. He then lived in Chicago for four years, worked as a bartender, waiter and acted in several private houses.

Alex's first appearance was a one-day role on Alone Against the Future .

In 1998 he finally got a recurring role in Emergency Room , moved to Los Angeles and never returned to Chicago . Since then, he has made guest appearances on several television shows, dramas, and comedies . (Including: in Angel , Without a Trace , 24 , and especially in the sitcom King of Queens , in which he played Carrie's annoying boss in a law firm.) He also had a number of plays, a role in Action film Payback - Payday and one in the comedy Ready to Rumble .

In the 2006 film Finding Preet , Skuby played his first leading role. In 2009 Skuby could be seen in a small supporting role in the second season of Castle .
