Alexander Andrejewitsch Schin ( Russian Александр Андреевич Шин ; born November 21, 1985 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who is under contract again in November 2016 at Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk from the Vysschaja Hockey League .

Career

Alexander Schin began his career as an ice hockey player with Kaszink-Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for which he was active from 2003 to 2009 in both the Kazakh ice hockey championship and in the Russian league system in the Vysschaya League and Pervaya League . With Ust-Kamenogorsk, the attacker became three times Kazakh champions in 2004, 2005 and 2007 within four years . In the 2006/07 season, the left-handed shooter took part in parallel for HK Sary-Arka Karaganda in the Kazakh championship and the Pervaya League.

For the 2009/10 season , Schin received a contract with Barys Astana from the Continental Hockey League . After two game years, in which he played parallel for Barys Astana in the KHL and his second team in the Kazakh championship, he returned to his home club Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk for the 2011/12 season, which in the meantime has moved to the Wysschaja Hockey League was changed. After he made another attempt at Barys Astana in 2016, this time he went back to his parent club in November of that year.

International

For Kazakhstan, Schin took part in the 2003 U18 World Junior Championship in the top division and the 2005 U20 World Junior Championship in Division I. He also played with the Kazakh student selection at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino, Italy, and achieved second place with the team behind Russia.

In the senior division, he was in Kazakhstan's squad at the 2009 World Cup in Division I and the 2010 and 2016 World Championships in the Top Division . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and 2018 in Pyeongchang .
