Alexander Fink

Alexander Fink (* 1967 in Bremen ) is a German author , speaker, futurologist and strategy consultant and board member of ScMI Scenario Management International AG.

Life

Fink was born in Bremen in 1967, attended the Cato Bontjes van Beek grammar school in Achim (Abitur 1986) and studied industrial engineering at the University of Paderborn . Fink developed the scenario management approach. He did his doctorate at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute of the University of Paderborn with a thesis on the scenario-based management of industrial companies. In 1998 he founded Scenario Management International AG (ScMI AG) together with Andreas Siebe and Oliver Schlake , of which he has been a board member since then.

Fink has led over 200 projects in the areas of scenario technology and strategic management . The published scenario studies include scenarios and design options for sustainable financial markets ( European Academy of Sciences and Arts , 2003), The future of health care in Germany (Innovation Center Lower Saxony, 2011), The future of our food ( Anuga and the Federal Association of the German Grocery Trade, 2011), Future scenarios for the communication of retail in 2025 ( EHI Retail Institute , 2013), Integrated scenarios as part of the national sustainability strategy ( Federal Environment Agency , 2014), Scenarios for the Future of European Border Management ( Frontex , 2016), The future of retail logistics (EHI Retail Institute, 2016), The Future of the Food Industry ( Nutrition Cluster at the Competence Center for Nutrition, 2017), Germany 2030 - A map for the future (D2030, 2019) Scenario report: AI-based working environments 2030 ( Fraunhofer IAO , 2019). Alexander Fink lives with his family in Paderborn . He is married and has three sons.
