Alexander Huber (* 1979 ) is a German chef .

Alexander Huber comes from a family of innkeepers who have been running a restaurant in Pleiskirchen , the "Huberwirt", since 1612 .

After training at Burghausen from 1994–1997, Huber went to the Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn in 1997 with Oliver Ruthardt and Claus-Peter Lumpp (two Michelin stars at the time). In 2000 he moved to the Bründlhof restaurant in Wartenberg to Jean-Luc Garnier (one Michelin star) and in 2001 to the Döllerer restaurant in Golling an der Salzach (Austria). In 2002 he went to Munich to the Tantris restaurant at Hans Haas (two Michelin stars).

Since 2006 he has been the eleventh generation chef at the local Huberwirt in Pleiskirchen. He is the first trained chef in the Huberwirt line. The restaurant has been awarded one star since the 2014 Michelin Guide . Huber has been a member of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe since 2012 .

Since 2015, Huber has appeared on Bayerischer Rundfunk television as a television chef on the program "Wir in Bayern".

In November 2018, Huber was elected President of the Jeunes Restaurateurs .
